What to do if the stabilisers no longer want to retract and thus prevent further travel:
The stabilisers have an emergency actuation function that can be used in the event of control failure, hydraulic failure and interruption of the power supply to one or more units.
Auxiliary means: Jack, jack stand, wooden blocks, SW10 hexagon spanner
Raise the vehicle with the jack and additionally secure it with a jack stand
Loosen the emergency lowering screw by 2.5 turns using a hexagon spanner (see illustration)
Raise the jack slightly, thereby relieving the load on the support stand and pull it out
Slowly lower the jack, the support retracts automatically due to the weight of the vehicle
Raise the vehicle again with a jack
Support the column with wooden blocks
Lower the jack, the support now retracts to its maximum position
Raise the vehicle with a jack and remove the wooden blocks underneath
Lower the jack, the vehicle now stands securely on all tyres again, the support is only slightly extended
Position the jack under the support and slowly push it in as far as it will go
Tighten the emergency lowering screw hand-tight.
IMPORTANT: Immediately afterwards, visit a specialist workshop and have the emergency lowering screw tightened to a tightening torque of 5 Nm.
