Alde hot-water heating
The Alde heating system consists of a gas-fuelled or 230 V vehicle heater and convectors. The system supplies heat to the convectors by pumping a glycol liquid that is heated by means of gas and/or electricity in the heating system. The heating system consists of the boiler system and an expansion tank, which is installed at the highest point in the vehicle. The installation location of the expansion tank can be found in the vehicle's user manual.
The heating system circulates the hot glycol fluid through pipes and heat convectors, similar to the heating systems used in many homes. The system is equipped with an electric 12 volt circulation pump that circulates the heated liquid. The heat convectors near the floor of the vehicle are heated by the hot fluid in the system; the air rises and circulates to warm the vehicle interior.
The heating system has an additional hot water boiler with a volume of approx. 8.4 litres of fresh water.
