What does the electric block in my vehicle do?
The electric block combines several functions in one, but is primarily used to supply the body with 12V.
On the one hand, the body batteries are connected to it, which means that they are charged when shore power is available, the engine is running or solar power is being used.
At the same time, it distributes the 12V voltage from the body battery(ies) to all consumers, such as the illumination, the water pump, the fridge, etc.
The loads are connected to the EBL via different circuits, which are also fused separately at the front of the electrical block. A description of the fuses can be found in the user manual for your vehicle from the appropriate model year.
Depending on the equipment variant, you will usually find a control panel above/next to your habitation door, on which the EBL data can also be displayed (battery charge status, shore power connected, power input/output). These displays are a direct reflection of the data from the EBL.
