For many of our models, it is possible to order a bike rack from the factory. Please note that the fixing points in the rear wall are missing if retrofitting is required. For more information, please contact your dealer.
- When loading the bike rack, pay attention to the permissible mass on the axle and the technically permissible maximum laden mass.
- Bicycles must not protrude beyond the maximum width of the vehicle. Adjust the fastenings for the bicycles accordingly.
- Only load the bike rack with the number of bikes specified for the rack (max. 4 bikes).
- Check that the bikes are secured on the bike rack after the first 10 km of the journey and then every time you stop.
- Observe the permissible vehicle load capacity (50-60 kg, depending on the model).
- The licence plate and rear lights must not be covered.
- Travelling with the bike rack unfolded without bicycles is not permitted.
- Before travelling, fold the unloaded bike rack upwards and secure it.
- Check before each journey:
- Is the bike rack folded properly without bikes?
- Are the bikes securely fastened to the bike rack with the bike rack straps?
- Is the bike rack locked? - Place the lighter bikes in the centre or on the outside of the bike rack.
- Attach the front wheel and the rear wheel of each bike using the straps attached to the bike rack.
- Depending on the bike rack model, attach the outer bike to the retaining bracket or retaining arm or with the spacer.
- Crank the adjustable bike rack upwards again.
- If the bike rack is only loaded with one bike, place the bike as close as possible to the rear wall.
- For further information, please refer to the manufacturer's separate user manual.
Observe the centre of gravity when loading the bike rack. The centre of gravity of the bikes must be very close to the rear wall of the vehicle. Always load the bike rack from the inside to the outside. Depending on the model, fold the bike rack down, pull it out or lower it using the crank (located in the rear garage). Place the heaviest bike directly against the rear wall.
No bike racks for the rear wall are factory-fitted to our caravans and are therefore not approved.
