A piping is the reinforced edge of a cloth/canvas. A piping profile - also known as piping rail or piping profile - is used to thread this piping. A piping profile is fitted as standard on most caravans, but can also be retrofitted or modified. The piping is mainly used to pull in an awning. The piping profile is usually only on the door side (right).
