Safety is paramount in recreational vehicles, so there is a wide range of alarm systems available on the market.
There are systems that work with motion detectors, others are connected to contacts on the windows and doors and are designed to alert the vehicle owner if strangers enter the vehicle without authorisation. Gas detection systems are a specialised alarm with acoustic signals that warn of gas attacks.
The central locking system installed in the vehicle controls the doors in the driver’s cab, the habitation door and, depending on the model and features, the doors in the rear garage.
Similar to cars, it is activated via the vehicle’s key, which can specify whether just the driver’s cab should be (un)locked, or whether the habitation door should be (un)locked too.
